Mustard Greens Mizuna Seeds
UNTREATED AND OPEN POLLINATED SEEDS
(Brassica rapa var. nipposinica)
This lesser known Asian (Japanese) mustard produces green long slender stems and dark green, feathery leaves which have a mild, peppery flavour (less spicy than arugula).
Mizuna generally prefers cool climates, but also has some heat tolerance which allows growth in warmer conditions without bolting. It produces a large amount of leaves which can be harvested several times through the different stages of its growth. It's also a good option for micro-greens.
Mizuna can be cooked like spinach or used in a salad mix or a sandwich and are delicious when sauteed or stir-fried.
Growing tips:
35-40 days to harvest. Sun-loving but prefers cool weather. Grows well in containers.
