Beans Purple Pod Seeds - OG
ORGANIC AND OPEN POLLINATED SEEDS
(Phaseolus vulgaris)
The purple or burgundy beans are a unique bright purple, stringless, and tender bush bean plant with beautiful purple flowers. They are prolific producers of pods that grow between 6"-8" in length and do not need staking as they are the bush-type of beans.
Grown mostly to consume either fresh pods or the dried beans, its leaf is also occasionally used as a vegetable and the straw as fodder. Beans turn green when cooked.
Being a member of the legume family, it fixes nitrogen in the soil as it grows. Grows best in full sun with well watered soil. Regular harvesting of the young pods will ensure a greater yield.
Suitable for growing in both containers and in the ground
