Tomatillo Green Seeds - OG
ORGANIC AND OPEN POLLINATED SEEDS
(Physalis ixocarpa)
A popular ingredient for green salsa sauces and Mexican cuisine. This is a largish tomatillo variety which produces green fruits in a papery husk and has a fresh citrusy flavour.
Tomatillo likes a moderately warm sunny climate, and requires fertile, well-drained soil which should be mulched with leaves. Moderate watering is best, just like tomatoes. Does not respond well to over watering or water-logged conditions.
Seedlings should be raised in nurseries and transplanted into soil in about 3-4 weeks. Fruits can be harvested when the husk splits.
Can also be grown in containers.
