Corn - Popcorn Seeds
OPEN POLLINATED, UNTREATED SEEDS
Popcorn is a special variety of corn where the kernels burst when heated. The little moisture that is present within the seed turns to steam and causes the seed to explode.
Popcorn likes full sun and loamy soil. It is advisable to plant them in clusters (10"-12" apart from each other) so that pollination is higher. Best grown in dry weather.
Water the plant regularly, especially if your soil drains fast. Once the ears have filled and matured you can discontinue irrigation and let the plant dry. Pick the dry ears and let them dry further, before removing the kernels.
Now find your favourite movie and enjoy homegrown popcorn with it!
