Bottle gourd is from the cucumber family and is a prolific creeper. Provide trellises for it to creep on to ensure the fruit (the gourd) thereby preventing fruit rot. It thrives in full sun and plants must be planted 1 meter apart if grown in the ground. Ensure rich and well draining soil.

It takes a minimum of 75 days before you can begin harvesting.

It can also be grown in a 14" pot, but will need support of a railing/balcony or some trellis.
