This is a mini-romaine lettuce that has crisp, green leaves with a crisp mid-rib. Little Gem has become our favourite romaine variety, and clearly trumps the common iceberg variety because of its rich flavour.

Easy to grow in the cooler months, but needs to be protected from harsh afternoon sun. Grows well in pots and beds. You can harvest only the leaves (and not the entire plant) to extend productivity.
