Cabbage Golden Acre Seeds - OG
ORGANIC AND OPEN POLLINATED SEEDS
(Brassica oleracea)
Grows best in Winter
As cabbages go, this is an early-to-harvest variety with dense, solid spherical heads. The grey-green heads can get upto 5-7 inches in diameter and weigh over 1 kg. The plant is relatively compact, which allows closer spacing in the garden.
The leaves are best harvested early (approx 70 days) and should be eaten fresh or stewed or stir fried because of its tender and flavourful heads.
Seeds should be sown in a nursery (around October) and transplanted into the soil in approximately 21-25 days. Heads are ready to harvest after 70 days in mild to cool weather. Ideally grown in cooler weather (requires cooler weather to head) and sunny, well drained conditions.
