Thymus vulgaris
Thyme is a very widely used culinary herbs. It grows best in cooler climates and can adapt to varied soils. Its tiny leaves are surprisingly fragrant and their tangy flavor works well with a variety of dishes.
It prefers a dry climate and direct sun for 4-5 hours a day. It really struggles in our monsoon humidity. While it can be grown in the ground, it is preferable to grow this in a pot. Make sure the soil is well draining and irrigate sparingly.
